IN 1975
TAI LOU
The company was founded in 1975 by Mr. Chen Tien-Ding, under the name of Yongshun Li Co., Ltd. It began with a staff of eight and a factory site of 2000 square meters, and initially produced only screws.
IN 1984
NEW FACTORY
Tai Lou Metal Industry Co., Ltd. was formally established, and moved to a new factory site of 3300 m², with a workforce of 20 employees and eight production machines. With this increased operating capacity, Tai Lou began producing specialized bolts for bicycle stems, brakes, bottom brackets and seat posts, and for exercise equipment, as well as general-purpose bolts.
IN 1984
TITANIUM SCREWS AND BOLTS
Tai Lou installed a chromate treatment plant, and in 1991 embarked on a new expansion. We became a manufacturer of titanium screws and bolts, and our factory floor area was increased to 6000 m², to accommodate 40 employees and 22 production machines. Since then, our factory and office floor area has expanded to 19,800 m².
IN 1995
AUTOMATIC
Tai Lou installed seven automatic washer-making machines, with further machines added over the years to reach 24 today.
IN 1998
DEVELOPMENT
After intensive research and development, we added crank bolts and suspension front forks to our product range.
IN 2005
OTHER BUSINESS
In addition to manufacturing a wide range of bicycle fasteners, we actively developed new products such as hollow bolts (160 mm), pivot bolts (M10), and alloy hollow crank bolts (M15). In order to cross over into other lines of business, we also began producing threaded parts for motorcycles, as well as screws and other components for medical equipment and automobiles.
IN 2009
MICROCOMPUTER
The company installed a plate optical sorting machine, as well as specialist inspection and testing equipment including a microcomputer-controlled screw torque machine and a universal tensile testing machine.
IN 2017
We installed an eddy current inspection machine.
In order to secure the sustainable continuation of our business, we insist on providing excellent products and a level of service that gives full satisfaction. This is the foundation for our reputation, and for the trust that our customers place in us. Our reputation is the source of our business, and quality is the prime condition for our survival. This has been Tai Lou’s philosophy from the outset.
Tai Lou’s T-Mark trademark is registered in many countries, and is widely recognized and accepted by consumers.
